PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant anion exchange resin improved in appearance, physical strengths, elution properties of impurities or the like. SOLUTION: The anion exchange resin is composed of a bridged copolymer containing, as a main constitutive unit, a constitutive unit expressed by general formula (2), wherein, A is a 3-8C alkylene group; R1 to R3 are each hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group or a 1-4C alkanol group; and X is a counterion coordinated to the ammonium group, with the proviso that R1 to R3 are not simultaneously hydrogen atom, and a constitutive unit expressed by general formula (1) and has the following characteristics. [1] The content of the constitutive unit expressed by general formula (1) is <0.5 wt.%. [2] The ratio of the resin having no crack is >=90%. [3] The crushing strength is >=200 g/particle. [4] When pure water of 25 deg.C is passed through the resin with the space velocity SV of 30, the concentration of alkylamines in pure water passed through the resin at 6 hours after the start of water supply is <=200 ppt. |
