PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ensuring the simultaneous long-term stability of both high initial yield and yield during operation of acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile when the acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile is manufactured by the ammoxydation reaction or propylene, isobutene or tertiary butanol. SOLUTION: The oxide catalyst for ammoxydation is represented by the formula: Mo12BiaAbFecXdYeOf and simultaneously meets the expressions: 0<=α<2/3, 0.03<=β<=0.07 on condition that α=b/(a+b), β=1.5(a+b)/(1.5c+d). |
