摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer that can control the time of a pressurization process as a phase previous to a depressurization process for blood pressure measurement. SOLUTION: Upon a start of blood pressure measurement, a control arithmetic part 7 controls a pressure pump 3 while closing a quick release valve 4 and controlling the valve travel of a gradual release valve 5 to a given value, to feed air into a cuff 1 wrapped about an upper arm region of an examinee and pressurize the upper arm region to an ischemic state. The control arithmetic part 7 estimates a maximum blood pressure value, and after elevating the internal pressure of the cuff 1 to a pressure higher than the estimated maximum blood pressure value, stops the pressure pump 3 and controls the gradual release valve 5 to exhaust the cuff 1 of air gradually and lower the cuff pressure gradually, in which depressurization period a blood pressure value is measured. The control arithmetic part 7, in the pressurization phase, controls the air discharge of the pressure pump 3 to a substantially constant level and regulates the displacement of the gradual release valve 5 to change the pressurizing rate and control the pressuring time.</p>
