PURPOSE: A digital circuit breaking device is provided to protect the power transmission line and load in an effective manner by integrating a circuit breaker, switch and electric relay into a single system. CONSTITUTION: A digital circuit breaking device comprises a fixed contact(15a) arranged onto a power transmission line; a movable contact(15b) for opening/closing the power transmission line by selectively contacting the fixed contact; a current sensor(12) connected to the power transmission line, and which senses the current flowing at the line; a control unit(11) for comparing the signal input from the current sensor and the reference value, judging whether an abnormality exists in the power transmission line, and generating a contact driving signal; an actuator(13) for allowing the movable contact to selectively contact the fixed contact by driving the movable contact in accordance with the contact driving signal output from the control unit; a support(10) arranged inside of the circuit breaking device; and a closing bar(16) hinge-coupled to the support so as to support the movable contact.
