PURPOSE: An LCD and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance the response speed of liquid crystal by changing the driving method of the liquid crystal without changing the panel structure of a TFT LCD. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel(100) comprises a plurality of gate lines for transmitting scan signals, a plurality of data lines crossed to the gate lines for transmitting data voltage, and switching elements formed in areas surrounded by the gate/data lines to be connected to the gate/data lines. A gate driver(200) sequentially supplies scan signals to the gate lines. A gradation signal corrector(400) receives n-bit gradation signals for R, G, B from a data gradation signal source, and outputs a corrected gradation signal considering an m-bit gradation signal of a current frame and an m-bit gradation signal of a pre frame. A data driver(300) converts the corrected gradation signal into a corresponding data voltage to supply it to the data lines.
