PURPOSE: An incandescent lamp bulb is provided to achieve an improved luminous efficiency and lengthen useful life of the lamp, while significantly reducing maintenance cost. CONSTITUTION: An incandescent lamp bulb(30) comprises a base member(31) to be fixed to a socket; a glass body(32) arranged at an upper end of the base member; a pair of lead-in wires(33) connected to the glass body through the base member, and which leads in an external power; a filament(34) for interconnecting both ends of the lead-in wires; and a stem(36) for fixing a support(35) for supporting the filament. The incandescent lamp bulb is fixed to be adjacent to a lens of a traffic signal lamp body. The filament is formed of a mixture of rhenium and tungsten, and has both ends fixed to the both ends of the lead-in wires, while forming a polygon by the five supports arranged at the upper end of the stem. The glass body has an internal sealed space filled with a mixture gas of krypton and nitrogen.
