PURPOSE: A linear light guide plate having no dot and a method of fabricating the light guide plate are provided, which forms protrusions and depressions on the bottom face of the light guide plate continuously, the height difference between the protrusion and depression being varied linearly, to control brightness by regions. CONSTITUTION: A linear light guide plate having no dot is constructed in such a manner that protrusions and depressions instead of dots are continuously formed on the bottom face of the light guide plate, to control brightness by regions. The protrusions and depressions are formed by using electrolytic corrosion. The corrosion rate is adjusted by varying the area of an electrode.
