PURPOSE: A method of storing music file data of an MP3 player and a method of managing music file information are provided to generate and record music file information so as to rapidly find information about an MP3 music file to display the information. CONSTITUTION: In case that music file data is stored, input data is stored in an empty area of a memory continuously or discretely. Then, information about the beginning of the stored music data and recording region right before the end of the music data is recorded in a file management information area. The information about the recording region right before the end of the music data is stored in a preliminary region of a directory area of file management information.
