PURPOSE: A transparent thin film electroluminescent display is provided, in which all thin films, such as upper and lower electrodes, upper and lower insulating layers, and electroluminescent layer, constructing the electroluminescent display are transparent in the visual ray area, to be widely used for a head mounted display, window clock, various gauges and advertisement. CONSTITUTION: A transparent thin film electroluminescent display is constructed in such a manner that a transparent electrode, a fluorescent film, and a metal electrode are formed on a transparent substrate and the top and bottom of an electroluminescent layer are insulated with an insulating layer. The metal electrode is configured of a transparent electrode formed in a manner that a donor element is added to In-O. Zn-Oo Sn-O.
