Carbohydrate-based enzyme granulates

A process for preparing an enzyme-containing granulate useful as an ingredient in an animal feed comprises processing an enzyme (such as phytase, endo-xylanase and/or a b-glucanase), a solid carrier comprising at least 15% (w/w) of an edible carbohydrate polymer but less than 5%(W/W) of protein and water in appropriate relative amounts to obtain enzyme containing granulates and then drying the granulates.
