A method of making a fiber reinforced product in a process comprising selecting a glass fiber product containing a chemical sizing with the surfactant level on the fiber in an amount in the range of 0.08-0.24 wt. percent, based on the weight of dried fiber, wherein the sizing contains 30-60 wt. percent, on a dry basis, of a cationic surfactant and 20-50 wt. percent of the LOI (loss of ignition) on the same basis of a polymer film former (such as polyvinyl alcohol), dispersing fiber in plant water; forming a fiber reinforced product. The reinforced product may further comprise a biocide to retard microbial action.
