The circuit breaker has a thermomagnetic switch (8) for each switching pole (6), and a switching mechanism in a container (4). There are extensions to the connection rail (22) and contact rail (24) which are glue fixed and associated with the box sides. The rail extension section fixes in place in a slot, whilst the contact rail extension has mechanical play on the container sides. The conductor rail has a material thickness which is matched to the current passed.
