The invention concerns a transverse partition (24, 124) separating two adjacent chambers (26) of an exhaust volume (12) comprising at least a passage (44, 164) for gases circulating between the two chambers, the cross-section provided for the gas circulation through the passage (44, 164) being variable under the action of the pressure difference between the two sides of the partition. Said partition comprises a wall (30, 154) notched with at least one slot (40, 160) defined between two adjacent edges of the wall, which wall is elastically deformable under the action of the pressure difference between the two sides of the partition, between a neutral position wherein the continuity of the wall is ensured, the two edges of the slot (40, 162) being substantially assembled and a deformed position wherein the two edges of the slot are spaced apart defining between them said gas circulation passage (44, 164). |
