Recombinant lysostaphin analogs with amino acid substitution from Thr to Gly

Recombinant lysostaphin analogues having a molecular structure preventing post-translational modifications while retaining lysostaphin-like biological activity. Such recombinant lysostaphin analogues have at least one modified site, or a rearrangement of at least one site at the level of the amino acid sequence of the mature lysostaphin protein. Also described are DNA sequences encoding the lysostaphin analogues, recombinant plasmids and host cells for the expression of recombinant lysostaphin analogue.
