PURPOSE: To provide highly reliable ink jet recording head cartridge and ink jet recorder having a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: Since an individual channel 32 provided with an ink ejection opening 30 and a rectangular ink supply chamber 44 are interconnected directly, a bubble large enough to cause defective print does not float in the ink supply chamber 44 to choke the individual channel 32. Warmed ink in the ink supply chamber 44 moves into an upper ink tank chamber 42 by convection to grow a previously encapsulated air mass 48 thus preventing growth of a bubble in the ink supply chamber 44. Since a large cross-sectional area is ensured for the ink supply chamber 44, oscillation of meniscus at the ink ejection opening 30 is prevented from being amplified by pressure oscillation due to ink ejection thus preventing defective ejection. A highly reliable print can thereby be ensured through a simple arrangement.
