Stabilizer-combination for cable insulations

The use of moulding material containing (A) halogen- containing polymer(s) and (B) a stabiliser combination for cable sheathing is claimed. Combination (B) comprises (a) optionally surface-modified natural or synthetic hydrotalcite(s) and (b) basic calcium-aluminium hydroxide compound(s) of (b1) basic Ca-Al hydroxy phosphite(s) of formula (I) and/or basic Ca-Al hydroxycarboxylate(s) of formula (II): CaxAl2(OH)2(x+3-y)(HPO3)y<2-.> mH2O (I) CaxAl2(OH)Ä(2x+6)-yÜAy/nn<-.> mH2O (II) x = 2-12; 2 x + 5)/2 > y > 0 (excepting y = 1 if x = 2-8); m = 0-12; and An<-> = 1-22C mono- or poly-functional aliphatic carboxylate anion, 6-20 C mono- or poly-functional aromatic or heteroaromatic carboxylate anion or a combination.
