PURPOSE: An antibiotic composition containing the extracts of plants is provided, which composition and extract have an improved antimicrobial activity for Trichophyton and Candida but no toxicity. CONSTITUTION: The antibiotic composition contains the extract of plants selected from the group consisting of Foeniculum vulgare extract, Asarum heterotropoides, Cinnamomum sieboldii and Eugenia caryophyllata, wherein the extracting solvents are as follows: C1 to C5 alcohol, more specifically ethanol, methanol, propanol or butanol, and organic solvent, more specifically hexane, chloroform, and ethylacetate. The antibiotic composition may be used as a detergent, dermatomycosis treating agent or sterilizing agent. |
