A method and apparatus for exposing photosensitive recording material (12'') is presented. The invention is provided for using chromatic lenses (28) to focus polychromatic light (34) into recording media (12''). The resulting chromatic aberrations contribute to exposing recording media (12'') in three dimensions. The method and apparatus presented also provide for improved quantum efficiency in the exposure of photosensitive recording material (12'').
