The poster stand has at least two stand parts (2) joined to each other by a pivot device (8), to which an information plate (24) is fixed. The parts are laterally pivotable in their union with each other. Each part has a support frame (3) with two lateral supports (5) and preferably in the form of two hinges (8) the supports are fixed to the support frames. The support frames narrow upwards and the angle between the longitudinal axis of each support frame and each of the supports is 10 degrees. A fixing bar (14) has right-angled end sections for suspension in holes provided in at least one cross brace (7) of at least one of the support frames.
