PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a height limiting device which can easily detect the action of an abnormal tension in a wire member by using the wire member for a height limiting means, and easily notify the action of the abnormal force in the wire member by informing the information detected by a limit switch mechanism by using a warning lamp, etc., of a warning output unit. SOLUTION: In this height limiting device 1, a cut member 8 which is easily broken when a predetermined force is applied is connected to an end of the wire member stretched at a predetermined height so that the limit switch mechanism 10 is operated when the cut member is broken. The warning lamp 18 or the like of the warning output unit 17 is lit by operating the limit switch mechanism, and a driver of a carrying vehicle is informed of the information to prevent a tall vehicle and a tall cargo from entering a height limiting place such as a work site. |
