PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the position of a mobile station. SOLUTION: A mobile MDT receives a radio wave incoming from a base station and a number of multipath measuring means 4a measures the number of multipath of the received radio wave. Information of the number of multipath is transmitted as receiving condition data Dcnd to the base station. The base station is provided with a section for storing the positional data at each point in a communication area in correspondence with the number of multipath. Position of the mobile station is detected based on positional data corresponding to the information of the number of multipath having highest correlation with delivered information of the number of multipath among the numbers of multipath stored in the positional data storing section.
