PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flickering feeling caused in another electric equipment, especially, illuminating equipment connected to the same power source line as a fixing device or an image forming device equipped with the fixing device while performing accurate and stable control without imposing a large burden on a CPU. SOLUTION: Supply electric energy to the heater of the fixing device is calculated in every sampling cycle. Then, the heater is energized by repeating a 1st cycleΔt1 and a 2nd cycleΔt2 longer than the cycleΔt1 as a power supply pattern. The energizing of every 1st cycleΔt1 is performed in a pattern A consisting of an energizing part and a non-energizing part with the half cycle of an AC wave as reference unit. The 1st cycleΔt1 is set to >=1/5000 and <=1/50 with reference to the 2nd cycleΔt2.
