PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Japanese paper obtained by making a raw material liquid formed by using a material such as paper mulberry and mitsumata (Edgeworthia papyrifera) into the paper, having improved strength, and capable of providing ataractic tranquilizing effect or the like by using the resultant paper as a wallpaper, a Fusuma paper (a paper used on a sliding paper door) or the like. SOLUTION: This Japanese paper is obtained by mixing innumerable number of short silk fragments 17, 17... with a raw material liquid 2, and making the resultant raw material liquid 2 into the paper, and includes the fine silk fragments 17, 17... scattered in the inside.
