PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material whose oil stains adhered thereto after left to stand can readily be removed by domestic washing, and to provide a method for producing such a material. SOLUTION: This material is a fibrous structural material imparted with at least two compounds: a compound A based on a hydrophilic resin and a compound B based on an oil with affinity for water. The other objective method for producing the above material comprises the following process: a fibrous structural material is immersed in a liquid containing the compound A followed by heat treatment to effect solidification of the compound A, which is thus set on the fibrous structural material, and the resulting fibrous structural material is immersed in a liquid containing the compound B followed by drying to effect imparting the fibrous structural material with the compound B; alternatively, a fibrous structural material is immersed in a liquid containing both the compounds A and B followed by heat treatment to effect solidification of the compound A and setting it on and simultaneously allowing the compound B to adhere to the fibrous structural material.
