PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat with a short pleat so as to prevent the hat from being blown out by wind. SOLUTION: This hat 1 is so designed that a tube 5 into which a thin elastic cord 4 is threaded is passed in loop 6-like manner between the sweat-absorbing part 2 and the body 3 each of the hat 1, and holes 8 are made on a pleat 7 to let both the ends 9 of the elastic cord out and hold them with a cord fastener 10; thus, through pushing the cord fastener and pulling the elastic cord out, the inside of the pleat is tightened to prevent the hat from being blown out by wind.
