PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition not only exhibiting very excellent characteristics in modulus, tensile strength, elongation, hardness, abrasion resistance, processability and the like, but also excellent in abrasion properties and non-road-staining properties. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a matrix polymer comprising at least a natural rubber, a homopolymer of a conjugated diolefin, a copolymer of a conjugated diolefin monomer with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, or a mixture thereof, 0-10 pts.wt. of carbon black, 40-120 pts.wt. of a filler with a white color tone containing 40-90 pts.wt. of silica, 1.0-7.0 pts.wt. of a resorcinol/formaldehyde resin and 1.0-7.0 pts.wt. of a melamine derivative.
