PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material of a liquid crystal on a plastic film substrate having excellent storage stability in an one portion state, excellent heat resistance, a peeling strength and electrical reliability. SOLUTION: The sealing material of a liquid crystal on a plastic film display element contains an epoxy resin, a hemiacetal compound expressed by general formula (1) (R1 is an alipthatic or aromatic organic group; and R2 is a 1-15C organic group), a cure accelerator, an inorganic filler and an antifoaming agent.
