The present invention relates to a mono- or multilayer film, where the film consists of a cycloolefin copolymer or mixtures of cycloolefin copolymers and one or more thermoplastics, and where, at 85% relative humidity and a temperature of about 23° C., the film has a water vapor permeation of <=0.035 g*mm/m2d, a puncture resistance of <=300 N/mm and a thickness of <=100 mum.
