<p>The invention concerns a pneumatic brake booster for a motor vehicle, comprising a one-way clutching device including a coaxial sleeve (58) sliding on a plunger (46), and means for axially locking the sleeve (58) which can, when an input force is applied at a specific speed on a control rod (38) integral with the plunger (46), lock the sleeve (58) in an axial position wherein it locks the piston (22) independently of the control rod (38). The invention is characterised in that the one-way clutch comprises elastomeric damping means which are interposed between a transverse intermediate stop surface (59) of the plunger and a transverse surface opposite (76) the sleeve (58) to enable, once the input force is released and the locking means have unlocked the sleeve (58), a muffled return of the sleeve (58) towards its neutral rear position.</p> |
