A power control unit (PCU) has a first end area (1) linked to a movable device and a second end area (2) linked to a fixed device. The PCU has wiring pick-up channels formed partly by sections (4) interconnected with joints. The PCU is looped vertically in a meandering manner at a starting position for the first end area. In a second end position of the first end area the PCU is stretched. There are devices (6) that allow a loop-shaped area to be formed at the starting position. This area stays essentially unchanged until the starting position is reached.
