The invention relates to a method enabling an HTS magnet to be magnetized by external exposure only through an arrangement consisting of high-temperature-superconductor rings, or with additional support from an external magnetic field applied with added normally conducting coils. The structure of the magnetic arrangement for the simple external exposure consists first of all of coaxial high-temperature superconductor rings which are arranged on one level and then of a coaxial stack of these levels. The added external magnetic field is provided in the form of a normally conducting solenoid which at least partially encases the arrangement or in the form of level spiral-shaped, normally conducting coils between the HTS coils. Whichever configuration is used, the magnetic field axes of the HTS arrangement and those of the integrated normal conductor coils coincide.
