PURPOSE: An image processor is provided to perform basic functions of rotating, zooming and warping video data using a geometric transformation method and to enable projection even in an arbitrary rotation direction. CONSTITUTION: The image processor includes an address generator(80), a calculation unit, and a controller(67). The address generator generates source and target image addresses according to a definition of a user when data is inputted. The calculation unit calculates a conversion coordinate value from new initial coordinate values in order to rotate or scale an image. The controller controls a histogram module for generating a histogram according to the input data and the aforementioned components. The address generator includes a source memory(61) for storing the initial coordinate values, a target memory(63) for storing the conversion coordinate value, and address sequencers(62,62') for respectively generating addresses of the source memory and the target memory.
