DYNAMIC UPDATING OF SCP THROUGH ISUP MESSAGES

Information stored within an SS7 signaling network is inserted within fields of an ISUP signaling message that are not dedicated to another use and the signaling message is sent to a service control point (SCP) (30) within the SS7 network. At the SCP (30), information is extracted from the ISUP signaling message and existing databases are modified to reflect the addition of the extracted information.
