PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic alloy which can be manufactured by rapidly cooling a molten alloy in an air atmosphere and has high magnetic permeability, high saturation magnetic flux density and improved soft magnetic properties. SOLUTION: The soft magnetic alloy having high magnetic permeability and high saturation magnetic flux density has >=20,000 effective permeability at 1 kHz and >=1.50 T saturation magnetic flux density. This soft magnetic alloy is obtained by precipitating, by heat treatment, fine crystal grains in an alloy prepared by rapidly cooling a molten alloy in an air atmosphere or in an inert-gas flow and composed essentially of amorphous phase and is represented by the following compositional formula: T100-a-b-c-dMaXbNbcM'd (wherein, T is at least one or more elements among Fe, Co and Ni; M is at least one or more elements among V, Mn, Mo, Ta, W and Cr; X is at least one or more elements among B, P and C; M' is at least one or more elements among Pt, Au, Pd, Ag and Cu; and a, b, c and d showing composition ratio satisfy 0<=a<=3, 2<=b<=18, 4<=c<=8 and 0<=d<=1.0). |
