SECURITY SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system and an operating method therefor capable of quickly restoring the system by adopting a precise coping method by accurately investigating (analyzing) the cause when a communication obstacle has occurred in the security system using a commonly listening transmission line of a CATV system. SOLUTION: A security minitoring device 40A is provided with a transission part 41 for multiply transmitting data to respective dwelling units 10 via the commonly listening transmission passage 30, a memory part 44 for memorizing and storing data (transmission reception data) transmitted and received via the commonly listening transmission line 30 in gathering operation of security information, a communication modem 47 for transferring the transmission reception data stored in the memory part 44 to a maintenance control center 60 via telecommunication line 50 and a CPU 48 for performing gathering monitoring operation of the security information and performing data transferring operation for transferring prescribed transmission reception data stored in the momory part 44.
