PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge not for the application time of software but for a result (added value) obtained by utilizing the software. SOLUTION: The software usage charging system is based not on a concept of charging for the application time of software but on a concept of charging for a result (added value) obtained by utilizing the software. Specifically, when a user tries to execute action, e.g. the output of a result or the like (the output of a print, a file, etc.), to be executed in order to utilize the result, i.e., when a program executes a program procedure instructing the output action of a result or the like, a usage management server is informed of usage information through various communication means such as the Internet and a prescribed charge is finally collected in accordance with the executed action and its frequency. |
