<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller which has a long cycle life, and is environment-friendly a low cost. SOLUTION: An AC input supplied from a power source 2 is converted to DC by a converter 3, and fed to a load 6 as an AC output through an inverter 5. An EDLC bank 4 in which a plurality of EDLC single-cells are connected in series-parallel is charged/discharged to control power corresponding to variations in the load 6 and the power source 2. When compared with a lead storage battery, the EDLC bank 4 has low internal resistance and can be charged/discharged at high speed, so that the cycle life can be increased to reduce the environmental load. Power can be taken in and out with high efficiency, so that efficiency of power control and operating performance can be increased.</p> |
