PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation steel plate for casing driver capable of easily and accurately positioning a casing driver even in a sloped construction field and a method of positioning the casing driver. SOLUTION: This foundation steel plate 1 for casing driver comprises stopper guides 12A, 12B, 12C, and 12D for guiding the casing driver 2 having a through hole 11 larger in diameter than the outside diameter of a casing formed therein and allowing the holding center M of the casing driver 2 to be aligned with the center N of the through hole 11 in the X direction of the arbitrarily set XY directions to limit the movement of the casing in the X direction and to make free the movement thereof in the Y direction.
