METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SPEED OF CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE WHEN GARMENT LENGTH KNITTED FABRIC IS KNITTED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a speed of circular knitting machine, capable of decreasing impact on latches of knitting needles by making the knitting machine operate at a low speed, when thread casting-off in a waste course is applied to knitting a garment length knitted fabric. SOLUTION: This method for controlling the speed of circular knitting machine is applied to knitting the garment length knitted fabric by use of the circular knitting machine equipped with a controller (20) for previously memorizing pattern data and striper data together with a needle selecting actuator (21) and a striper actuator (22) of which the both are operated based on signals given by the controller (20). The controlling method has a step for changing threads by operating the striper actuator (22) when the striper data are in timing for outputting, and another step for decelerating a motor (26) of the knitting machine from a high-speed rotation to a medium or low-speed rotation when specified threads are changed.
