PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element switching turret which can be attached to/detached from a microscope main body by easy operation regardless of condenser lens. SOLUTION: This optical element switching turret to switch and insert any optical element out of the optical elements such as a band-pass filter and a polarizing filter in an optical path through which illuminating light passes is attachably/detachably mounted, and respective annular gears 50 and 51 are interlocked with each other. The turret is provided with a positioning means for performing such positioning that the rotational angle of a turret main body may be a specified angle, and a fixing part for fixing the rotation of the gears 50 and 51 with respect to the turret main body at an optional angle.
