PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a hanging down device smoothly movable along rails installed at a ceiling or the like in a longitudinal or transverse direction or in the longitudinal and transverse directions and to make the device changeable in the direction of display. SOLUTION: This hanging down device for the display device consists of the rails 2 which are disposed with the top surfaces along the ceiling A or the like, a slider 3 which is guided by the rails 2 to travel and a hanging down member 4 which is mounted at the slider 3 and consists of a hanging down member 4 for hanging down the display device 1. The rails 2 are formed of hollow rail members having open channels 2a opened in part at the centers of the under surfaces and hollow parts which are internally hollow. The rails have traveling paths 2b for traveling of the slider 3 on both sides of the open channels 2a on the inside surfaces of the hollow parts. The slider 3 has plural balls 3a for traveling of the traveling paths 2b and is formed travelably within the hollow parts. The hanging down member 4 is mounted by connecting the slider 3 and the display device 1 through the open channels 2a.
