PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the dragging of a thick original and to prevent a back cover from being damaged by reducing a rotational angle required for inverting a lifting member at the time of press-contacting the thick document as much as possible. SOLUTION: One end part of a supporting member 7 on a turning base end side is pivotally connected to be freely turnable through a hinge pin 6 to a mounting member 5. The lifting member 11 is pivotally connected to be freely turnable through a first supporting pin 9 and a second supporting pin 10. An actuating member 8 is integrally attached at the turning base end side of the lifting member 11. The actuating member 8 is provided with a perpendicular groove 19 into which the first supporting pin 9 is inserted and which is vertically long and a horizontal groove 20 into which the second supporting pin 10 is inserted and that is laterally long. A compression coil 24 for energizing the supporting member 7 is attached between the actuating member 8 and a position different from the pivotally connecting position of the mounting member 5 with the supporting member 7.
