PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector 30 which makes fine adjustment possible in the circumferential direction, particularly in the positioning for the connection with an adaptor 22, and which also suppresses the increase in production cost. SOLUTION: The optical connector 30 is equipped with a tubular frame 34 into which a ferrule 8 is inserted; and a holding part 5 which is connected to the frame 34 and holds an optical fiber 35 to be connected to it. The optical connector 30, by connecting a ferrule 8 to an adaptor 22, serves the purpose of connecting the optical fiber 35 to another optical fiber which is connected through the adaptor 22. The ferrule flange provided on the rear end side of the ferrule 8 is provided with an engaging groove that catches an engaging part provided inside the frame 34 or the holding part 5. On the outer circumferential surface of the frame 34, a keeling 31 is freely rotatably mounted that has a positioning part 33 for positioning to the adaptor 22.
