<p>The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for degassing a drilling fluid (drilling mud) during works in oil and gas wells. The apparatus receives the contaminated drilling fluid and uses the energy of the well, contained in the fluid, to actuate the extracting device located inside the apparatus, which expels the released gas. An assembly of conical trays is used to capture the contaminated fluid, which is dispersed against an assembly of helicoidal blades during the use of the energy applied. The contaminated drilling fluid slowly moves downward through the conical trays and releases gas with the aid of a partial vacuum provided inside the reaction chamber. A liquid trap is formed by a discharge line on the bottom of the reaction chamber. The disclosed method uses the apparatus in an automatic process, which receives drilling fluid contaminated with gas, eliminates said gas and discharges the clean drilling fluid into a tank for reuse.</p> |
