The device for the distribution of fuel for a fuel injection system has a distribution pipe, the individual sections of which form an inner pipe (2) which at least in sections is encased over its length by a high strength reinforcement (3). The reinforcement is formed by a fiber composite material, a wrapping, or extrusion coating. The individual pipe sections consist of a material which has a heat expansion coefficient comparable to the material of the associated cylinder head.
