PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image reading performance in areas of interest which are symmetrical in a single image having symmetry, in an image processing system. SOLUTION: This image processing system is equipped with a CRT 1 which displays an image, a symmetrical interest area setting means 2 which sets a 2nd area R2 of interest symmetrical with a 1st area R1 of interest in the image P displayed on the CRT 1, and an interest area processing means 3 which performs the same image emphasizing processing for the 1st area R1 of interest set by an external interest area setting means 20 and the 2nd area R2 of interest set by the symmetrical interest area setting means 2. |
