PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem of an unevenness in image density due to a gradient in the toner concentration in the direction of a rotating shaft of a screw agitating developer and feeding the developer to a developing roll and moreover to solve any developing failure due to any failure in carrying the developer in an edge part of an image that is generated when the unevenness in the image density is solved. SOLUTION: In the device, a feeding part of the developer and a recovery part of the developer are separated within a range of a developing width and the speed of revolution of the developing roll is set so that the quantity of the developer that is carried to the developing roll does not exceed the quantity of the developer that is fed to the developing roll. |
