PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pivot assembly for magnetic disc memory device capable of enhancing a rotation accuracy and reducing a manufacture cost. SOLUTION: The pivot assembly 1 is constituted by directly engaging an outer ring 2a of a pair of ball bearings 2 with a shaft hole 3a of an actuator block 3. By such a constitution, a sleeve interposed between a pair of ball bearings 2 and the actuator block 3 is not required and a manufacture cost of the pivot assembly 1 can be reduced. Since the sleeve is not interposed, a thickness of the outer ring 2a of the ball bearing 2 is made thicker. A rigidity of the ball bearing 2 can be enhanced and a rotation accuracy of the pivot assembly 1 can be enhanced. |
