PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite optical member which is compact and equipped with a beam shaping function and to provide a composite optical unit provided with this member. SOLUTION: A composite optical member 105 which is formed of transparent resin and has a transparent-resin-molded incident plane 105a for a laser beam emitted from a two-wavelength laser diode 102, an outgoing plane 105b that emits the laser beam exiting from this laser diode 102 and that is irradiated with an incident light returning from an optical disk 61 (62), and a reflection area 105d that guides the return light from the optical disk 61 (62) to a light receiving member 104. The incident plane 105a is formed into a cylindrical recessed face, while the outgoing plane 105b into a cylindrical projected face having a different curvature from that of the incident plane 105a otherwise, the incident plane 105a is made to incline in the incident direction of the laser beam emitted from the two-wavelength laser diode 102, the beam shaping function is thereby imparted to the composite optical member 105. |
