PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify the property of alloy powder for a rare-earth magnet as appropriate and to raise the magnetic characteristics of the magnet. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a rare-earth magnet comprises a first grinding process for coarsely pulverizing a raw alloy for a rare-earth magnet and a second grinding process for pulverizing a raw alloy. In the first grinding process, the raw alloy is ground using a hydrogen grinding method. In the second grinding process, the ultrafine powder (The particle size of the ultrafine powder is 1.0 μm or smaller.), which is easy to oxidize in the pulverized powder, is removed from the pulverized powder and the ratio of the number of particles of the ultrafine power is adjusted so as to become 10% or lower than that of the entirety.
